A low-res proxy—an offline copy of your footage—can be created during ingest or started later in the browser. This course demonstrates a workflow for the creation and organization of proxies in Premiere Pro, concluding with relinking safely and intelligently to the high-quality master files. Jeff I. Greenberg explains the benefits and risks associated with an online/offline workflow, and shows how to choose the proper presets, codecs, and media locations.
