"FPE Alternate Textures for Oso Cat & Genesis 9" is an expansion that will turn your feline character into different breeds, all hand-painted using real cat references.

The different "Coats" (skins) apply via Hierarchical Material Presets for convenience and ease of use. That means each preset will automatically apply fur settings, a unique mouth material, and eye presets matching the breed without you having to hunt down and select each component!

This pack includes 11 Coat Hierarchical Materials based on iconic cats. All Coats include different presets for Oso3D's Fur, based on the cat referenced. Of course, our presets are fully compatible and will work seamlessly with Oso Cat for Genesis 9's Clothing & Fur control MAT Presets. So you can refine the fur using them to create a more unique Catfolk.

As the promos show, you can use the textures with the fur toggled off for a more stylized look. Presets to turn on and off displacement are available. We recommend turning displacement off if you're using fur, as that detail gets hidden and may help decrease render times.

And because the eyes are the windows to the soul, we also included an eye morph to give the character a more feline look. But the devil's in the details, so we hand-crafted a cat-like eye texture with 13 Hierarchical Material Presets corresponding to different colors, most of them within the range of typical cat eyes.

Taking advantage of Genesis 9 Eyes surfaces, we provided options to apply the color to one eye only for a Heterochromia look, which brings the total number of eye options to 39 Hierarchical Material Presets. Extra Presets to control inner eye shadow & emission will help you further tweak your result.

THIS PACK IS AN ADD-ON for Oso Cat for Genesis 9

Our product doesn't include any fur props/wearables, just textures. While you can use the skins on their own on a human character, as we showed in the last promo, the Coat H.MATs will still search for the fur when you apply it.

If you don't own the base product, this will result in longer application times and a pop-up indicating you are missing said product. You can ignore that as the skin, eyes & mouth materials will apply. But it's important to remember this issue if you purchase without the base product (sold separately).
